- We had a delightful evening. Never, have I ever been with a group where everyone
came away saying their food was the best they had ever eaten until Saturday
night. We enjoyed the drive up through the country even though it was raining.
Seeing the farm land during a spring rain was most refreshing. The house and
grounds are absolutely beautiful. Thank you for restoring this land mark and
allowing us to enjoy the fruits of your labor. I appreciate the time you took
from your duties as chef to meet with us and we especially enjoyed the history
and ghost tales your husband shared with us. All of us said, we would definitely
like to come again! Best wishes for your future endeavors!
-- I wanted to take a minute to express my deepest gratitude to you and your staff for the extraordinary job that was done on my husband's surprise birthday party. You not only met every expectation of excellence with the food and service but far exceeded it! Your staff was always there to cater to our every need without being obtrusive.
Most importantly, we felt as though we were family. How you were able to have that balance between professionalism and comfort, I will never know. It must just be The Yance House magic! I would highly recommend The Yancey House for anyone who wants a party with fine cuisine and all the comforts of home. Thank you again for an unforgettable night! -- Lisa Mattis.

- "Thanks so much for spending time with us a couple of weeks ago when we had dinner with ya'll. Like I told you, it was the best meal I have had in years and that center cut ribeye was not to be believed. I hope we didn't give Ashley too hard of a time but we had a blast with her. The history of the house you shared with us was extremely interesting and I am still amazed about the Thomas Day connection. Thanks again for everything!. We enjoyed it!" Bob & Karen
